   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a great book. The first in a series about brothers trained from birth to kill or be killed. Shane's story is filled with intrigue, violence, mystery, suspense and hot sex.
Shane is a pure alpha male who is always in control of himself and is willing to do anything to keep those he loves safe. Only one small snag in that plan is that he has amnesia and when the cops call his wife she informs him they have been separated for two years.
Josie is the tough as nails heroin in this tale. Shane walked out on her 2 years before without a word shattering her; now he is back, sort of, with his amnesia Josie is seeing a side of Shane that he had kept hidden from her. Will she be able to keep her heart safe this time around?
This was the first of Rebecca Zanetti's works that I have read and it was amazing.  Opening one of Rebecca's stories is equivalent to opening a portal, you will be sucked in and kept mesmerized and completely invested in the world she has created. I will definitely be reading more of her works.
The books is out now in eBook form and can be picked up at most eBook retailers. It will be released in paperback in January 2014. Book 2 in the series which tells Matt's story is anticipated to be released as an  eBook in December of 2013. Don't forget to check out her website for the latest news and her other works.
The axe drops again...
Fair warning, this is a rant.
The final episodes or the final season; two phrases I HATE!
It’s like getting halfway through a book and finding out that the author never finished it. You’re stuck there in the fog not knowing if the cliffs edge is right in front of you or way off in the distance, and what’s worse is that even if you did know you are physically incapable of taking the next step to see what is up ahead.  You end up investing so much time into the story, the characters, the realm in which the adventure takes place only to be cut off forever.
Now this rant comes because I just found out that one of my favorite shows is being canceled. 2014 will hold the final episodes of Warehouse 13. Now I have all winter to dwell on this. But I guess it is better that I found out before hand.
Unlike with The Dresden Files or with GCB; I found out those hadn't been renewed for a second season when I went looking for them when the second season was supposed to start! One season! With both of those shows I was totally invested in the characters (yes I know I can go read the Dresden Files books) and suddenly, NOTHING.  They both left off with cliff hangers making it so that you wanted to come back. That is just cruel.  Firefly is another one. It didn't even make it a full season before the actors were told that it wasn't going to be renewed, but at least they got a movie.
Another cancellation shocker for me was Eureka. Does anyone remember that show? I loved, loved, loved it. And bam out of the blue canceled. Sure it was given 5 seasons, but seriously it could have kept going. It was an inventive science show that even had my children interested in science. They had so much material to pull from, but no that wasn't enough for someone and they had to drop the axe…too bad they didn't miss and hit their foot.
So how about you, are there any shows you fell in love with that were canceled, or that you fear their cancellation? Any that you are watching now that you would recommend?
A review of TEMPORARILY HIS PRINCESS by OLIVIA GATES
TEMPORARILY HIS PRINCESS by OLIVIA GATES
 Back cover blurb:
"Get a wife. ASAP."
When his king says Prince Vincenzo D'Agostino must marry, the confirmed bachelor knows only one woman will do: Glory Monaghan, the lover who betrayed him six years ago. By forcing her hand, he'll appease his ruler—and get the woman he can't forget out of his system forever.
But Vincenzo's proposal is the last thing Glory expects. His long-ago rejection nearly destroyed her—how can she say yes now, even for show? Yet she has no choice. Becoming Vincenzo's temporary bride will save her family—even if giving in to the prince of Castaldini's passion will surely leave her yearning for more….
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Olivia Gates is a wonderful story teller who knows how to draw you in to the world she has created and keep you invested, mentally and emotionally.

I have been a fan of hers since 2009 when I was first introduced to the beautiful Castaldini Kingdom and the D'Agostino's.

Vincenzo is most definitely a D'Agostino prince; pure alpha male who lashes out when he gets hurt even if he doesn't have all the information about a situation. Olivia's hero's all seem follow a very close mold, and if you have liked any of them in the past you will most assuredly fall for Vincenzo.

Glory starts out as a naive young lady who falls hard for her boss. After the heart wrenching breakup she becomes a strong and successful woman; who buries herself in her work...for six long years. Glory will always love Vincenzo but now knows she can make it on her own if she has to.

When they come together Vincenzo and Glory are explosive, in and out of bed. Glory is no longer the naive young lady, she is now a mature woman who has no problem letting Vincenzo know what she is thinking. She lashes him with her tongue more than once letting him know how much of a pompous jerk he is being. Vincenzo finds this new side of Glory fascinating and invigorating, she is no longer someone he can bowl over, which makes her even more glorious and desirable  in his eyes.

I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have. I will be keeping this book on my shelves for quite a while so I can go back and revisit these two remarkable characters and their unforgettable world.

A first post...

Now that I've set up a blog I'm not sure what to put up here. My original plan was to have book reviews, random thoughts, recipes, and maybe more.
However now that I look at this bank post waiting to be written my mind goes numb and looks up from the blank void it dove into, fearing the prospect of finding out what the light at the end of the tunnel is. Is it a room of friendly peers to clap and congratulate for taking on this challenge? A stadium of jeering people to mock and insult for failing at being a blogger?
The temptation to shut down and stop before I even begin is there within reach and so mouthwatering delicious that I can already taste it. But just beyond that tempting dish is the doorway to the unknown; a dark mahogany dulled by age, cobwebs in the corners door. The brass handle dusty and tarnished, the faint light underneath a beacon for those who notice it. And although it would be easier to just sit here, it is much more intriguing to venture forth and see what really is on the other side of that door.
So here I am at the precipice, boldly going where others have gone before and make my own discoveries, join me on my journey into the Land of Blogging.
Remember, anyone can stand at the beginning of a road, but it takes the truly courageous to take that first step and then keep going, may we have the courage to step forth and continue.
